1.1 radiator cap on expansion tank is in good condition according to the mechanics? Maybe I will replace it anyway just so I know for sure.

Re: Mechanics have run out of ideas on how to fix cooling sy
Hi all. Yes I am planning to get an after market engine temp monitor - probably one of the Haydyn ones. We do not seem to be experiencing overheating at this stage since the hole was drilled in the thermostat. However, I have not taken the van on a big hill yet to make it work hard. I will do that ...

Re: Mechanics have run out of ideas on how to fix cooling sy
Is anyone able to give a brief description of whats involved in replacing the Lower Temperature Sender Unit and if necessary the fan relay switch. How long should this typically take a competent mechanic (not me!). The reason I ask is that we have been advised that there is a minor issue with the ...

Re: Mechanics have run out of ideas on how to fix cooling sy
both mechanics have used various methods to bleed the bongo but I am pretty sure that they have not used the see saw method as shown on you tube. One mechanic had what he called a back bleeding machine. The other used pressure connected to the header tank to force air out of the system. Before ...

Mechanics have run out of ideas on how to fix cooling system
We have a 95 Diesel Friendee that has had some recent cooling system issues.
First symptom was overheating at the top of very high hills. The garage installed a new radiator.
We drove it away and noticed that the car was running very cold as indicated by the dashboard temp gauge staying near min ...

how to remove the bung from the bongo coolant bleed pipe?
Hi Guys
Does anyone know the recommended way (or any way) to remove the metal bung from the bongo coolant bleed pipe? I want to bleed air from the cooling system using the 'see saw'method but I have failed at the first step by not being able to get the bung off the coolant bleed pipe? Any tips ...
