Re: Electrical Add Ons - What Order?
Thanks for the replies guys. I'm not concerned about the order of importance from a individual item level.
I'm was concerned about it from an electrical conformity/compatibility ease order of things.
I'm aware how importantly people rate having a coolant alarm.

Re: Electrical Add Ons - What Order?
Thanks Bongojoe. That was kind of what I was looking for in a response.
I thought that the alarm may have to be done last. As I thought fitting electrical items after an alarm/immobiliser may mess up its operation etc

Re: Electrical Add Ons - What Order?
Thanks. Maybe I wasn't clear. I will get them all done, it was more from a stand point of which order is it best to fit them in. From a 'working on electrics' ease point of view. Compatibility etc. if that makes sense?

Electrical Add Ons - What Order?
Ok, for all the auto electricians out there.... I plan to fit a Cat 1 Toad Alarm, a Haydn Coolant/temp Tm4 and a leisure battery (removing 2nd starter battery and a Japanese auto starter). Question is....which order is best? From an uneducated view I was thinking of getting alarm done last (thinking...

Re: Thule 9403 fitting issue?
This might be the issue I'm having with my newly purchased 9503. I need about 1cm more to clear the end of tubes closest to tailgate (I've even removed the third (closest) rack.

Re: Servicing Equipment Register
I'm just getting into my new Freda and have completed some jobs with what tools I have from mountain bike servicing etc. however, might be in need of assistance if I delve further. So interested in finding out about helpful Bongo/Freda owners in and around Birmingham.

Re: Front Heater Fan/AC Issue
I cleaned out what little particles were in there. But didn't grease the bearing. Admittedly I was too concerned with getting the bushes back in and getting it all back together. I did solder the resistor tonight. With my newly purchased (and first ever) soldering iron! Everything is now working tic...

Re: Front Heater Fan/AC Issue
Oh and I didn't check the motor with a 12v lead, as I have no idea how to do this. I've got one of those manual dial volt meter things. But it might as well be a a chocolate teapot in my hands.

Re: Front Heater Fan/AC Issue
Took apart fan, heater, etc tonight. Great learning curve and I discovered that the resistor did indeed have all the 5 contacts popped off. Will get a new soldering iron tomorrow to repair. Whilst in there I took out the heater motor and ended up popping the silver cap off. Maybe I shouldn't have do...

Re: Front Heater Fan/AC Issue
I'll have to take the rear seats/panels out again then this weekend! I'm a numpty. Should have checked before I put it all back in!
Front blind switch works the offside front blind but not off side rear. The rear offside blind switch doesn't work wither. So what you say makes sense.
Thanks again
