Re: Autoglass
A good boat yard should be able to make a replacement side window for you, if its laminated or toughened it takes a few days. I had a rear window (flat glass) made for an old coach-built Bedford CF, the price was very reasonable.

Re: replacement radiator
I bought a pattern radiator so I'll just have to wait and see how well it lasts.

replacement radiator
Can anyone recommend a source for a replacement radiator for a 95 TD? Mine has the usual split at the top, the search facility isn't turning up anything specific.

Re: Wiring query
You may find that the wiring to the inverter isn't substantial enough so you are getting a fair sized voltage drop, hence the alarm.

Re: Yet another variation on overheating
On mine I removed the air intake and then I could see obvious signs of coolant having leaked down the back of the radiator.

My rad has just started leaking from the top joint as well.

Re: Accurately measuring fuel flow (2 litre petrol injection
I can see the pics now. Those don't look like fittings that would be rated to anything like 8-bar, maybe it is just a lift pump.
Have you got access to a fuel pressure tester?

Re: Accurately measuring fuel flow (2 litre petrol injection
Yep. Just found this that suggests it can run up to 8 bar although 2 is average. This article mentions typical flow rate: http://www.picoauto.com/tutorials/fuel-injection.html That is interesting reading regarding the safety bypass, that would mean that you would need a flowmeter rated at up to 8ba...

Re: Accurately measuring fuel flow (2 litre petrol injection
Then it has to push the fuel hard enough to pressurise the fuel rail, 3 bar is pretty standard for a Japanese EFI.

Re: Accurately measuring fuel flow (2 litre petrol injection
Usually its a reinforced rubber hose, does it not have the pump in the tank?

Re: Accurately measuring fuel flow (2 litre petrol injection
You need to ensure that the flowmeter on the supply is rated for EFI pressures, usually around 3bar, how are you estimating the flow rate?
If you have diagnostics then you could perform an estimate based on the injector pulse width.

Re: Diagnostic Connector
The petrol engines seem to use the same codes as OBD2 but the diesels are different. I've just dug out my FSM it states code 38 = 'scavenger back up power supply circuit system'. It states to check the connection between ECU pin 2B and the battery.

Re: Diagnostic Connector
That look up is for OBD2 codes only, you need to find the codes for the Bongo, I'm surprised that they aren't in the fact sheet. You certainly don't have any O2 sensors.

Re: Diagnostic Connector
There isn't any engine management as such, the only controls are in the AT ECU.

I'm surprised that they still sell that stuff after the court cases in the US:

Also DuPont, who invented PTFE have stated that it is unsuitable for use in auto engines.
