Re: Electric Blind Trouble
Hi, my blinds are sometimes temperamental, and it seems that the individual switches suffer a bit internal corrosion due to their infrequent use. I spray some electrical cleaner into and around the switch, and give it a good waggle, and it seems to work ok again. I have had the dash ones out and dis...

Re: false speedo reading
Hi, when I changed my speedo face I took a lot of time and patience getting the needle in the correct position, using my sat nav, and two local speedo indication signs. I reads spot on at 30mph but at an indicated 70mph I'm really only doing 64mph. At least it's in the right direction. The differenc...

Re: MOT Failure Lamps - Are Brighter Bulbs an Option?
Hi,
I had the same yellowed lenses on mine. I polished them with xerapol polish ( off ebay- via suggestions off this forum) and I also fitted some replacement bulbs - xenon H4 bulbs by Ring - about £12 for 2 off ebay, and there was a noticeable difference. well worth it.

Re: Silver Grab Rail / Handle
Hi,
decided to grit my teeth and spend money, so I ordered the vertical handle via ebay. It came this morning, fitted it this afternoon. went straight on no problems, everything lined up, and the silver metallic finish fits well with the interior colours. Pleased with it.

Re: Bongo MOT failure
Hi,
just put two new front antiroll droplinks on last month before my MOT. The covers are an integral part of the rose joint on the droplink, so if they have gone, it will be new links. also fitted new bushes to the antiroll bar mounting. did make it feel a bit better.

front disc pads - pushing pistons back
Hi, put new pads on the front today, followed fact sheet from memebers area, and was easier than I anticipated. To push the pistons back I used my motorcycle valve spring compressor and a flat bar. An upturned plastic storage box was the right height to sit the caliper on without straining the brake...

Re: Wiring and placement of a DAB aerial?
Hi, I fitted a dab aerial in january when I got my Pioneer double din unit. I took the power from the harness (pc2-10-4) connecting the original wiring to the iso fitting on the unit. ( cut, soldered bullet connectors, then heat shrinkwrapped) The only trim to remove is the near side passenger grab ...

Just changed insurance company
Hi, renewal for Bongo came in a couple of weeks ago. When I bought it last year as the first owner on import, I could not get an insurance quote in the price area that I had expected, and had to take cover with Adrian Flux at nearly £400. - Renewal was for the same amount, so after making computer b...

LED sidelight bulbs
Hi, a few weeks ago I had a sidelight bulb go off, so I decided to replace it with a LED bulb. Got a pack of 10 off ebay, very cheap and quick delivery, fitted ok, and had that blueish tinge when on, - looked good. However one stopped working within a week, so replaced, then this week with the cold ...

Re: About to fit front anti roll bar droplinks
Hi, Thanks for input. didn't get too far - did not have a deep enough socket to get easiest nut off. So I went to the garage who have done previous work on other cars for me, and booked it for it's MOT and they said they would do the bushes and links for me when its up on the ramps. Will post final ...

About to fit front anti roll bar droplinks
Hi,
tommorrow, weather permitting, I am going to fit a pair of new front anti roll bar droplinks, and two new rollbar bushes. Is there anything I need to watch out for when doing this, or is it as straightforward as it looks?
Thanks

Re: Erisin Stereos
Hi, I bought a double din dvd/cd/radio/bluetooth player off ebay in august, not an erisin one though, and I was less than impressed with the chinese build quality. I eventually set it back to the supplier and I had a refund ( off the ebay protection policy - rather than the seller who was not too he...
