Re: The Oldest Bongo Still On The Road

Oh thanks Ian,

With that in mind, my lovely old Freda, which I have owned and still run and which has been maintained by Allans here in Plymouth for 10 years, rolled off the line on 27.11.95.

:D

I love her dearly

Re: The Oldest Bongo Still On The Road

Thanks, that helps.

I was adding an extra zero.

Which date is it then? The shorter bold black date at the top or the full smaller-print date further down?

Re: The Oldest Bongo Still On The Road

Hello All, I can't seem to get anywhere with the translation of the link. I can reach the site and have entered the number but it doesn't do much. Can anyone help? My chassis number ends with 34. This looks promising! :D Edit: Oh Doone, Allan, it looks like you have an older Bongo than mine! can any...

Re: Devon and Cornwall next meet

Hello Janner,

I ought to try to make it for perhaps only the second time ever. It's a shame it's not during the Easter holidays.

Re: Quechua inflatable living area

Ive been using the Base Seconds as Simon above mentioned for several years now. Light, quick to put up and an inner available too, which we didn't get. Great bit of kit with good room. We take it to the beach occasionally.

Re: Lifesure Ins.

Bob, I think you are right.

My premium with Admiral wasn't bad yesterday. But, come next year it will be interesting to see what Admiral quote me as an existing customer rather than the first timer I am now.

Re: Admiral: my latest insurance quote.

I've been threatening myself with a Bongo Bash one day! That's a great looking van Simon. I wish sometimes that I had gone down that route with awning and ladder and possibly a small conversion. I feel its a bit late now after 8 years ownership. Thanks for the piccies. i'd love to think that I could...

Re: Admiral: my latest insurance quote.

You're quite right!

I do tend to visit but don't contribute. Now that, I know, is just rude of me!

BTW, Your vehicle looks lovely in the photo. I hope it is just as lovely inside and trustworthy. :D

Re: Admiral: my latest insurance quote.

Hello Simon, That is exactly what I was told! I didn't think to ask them if I could park my van on the drive for Christmas and pay the cheaper premium! I'm also concerned now, because if they had told me last week that to buy insurance next week, in December, would be at least 33% more expensive, I'...

Re: Lifesure Ins.

7 years with Lifesure.

Had a ridiculous quote from them this week.

With Admiral now, for the first time - half the price of Lifesure's quote.

Admiral: my latest insurance quote.

Have been insured with Lifesure for 7 of the past 8 years for my Ford Freda. Same gorgeous Freda since 2005. Lifesure's quote 28/11/13 - TPFF, myself and partner 9yrs NCB, standard van £277 - (I didn't go ahead with this quote as I wanted to look around.) Lifesure's second quote 02/12/13 - TPFF, mys...

Well, Hello,
Prolific Poster here!
I'd like to attend this year's Bongo Bash but am I correct in thinking that I need to be club member in order to access the booking form?

Re: Day Meet, Falmouth - Sunday 13th December 2009

Hi All, I've just been on the phone to Allan in Plymouth and was told about this meet. So, I would like to declare my interest in turning up! So you lot will be thinking who this stranger is (perhaps). I don't post as often as I could/should do but just feel the urge to turn up at a Bongo meet for t...
