Hi managed to get a look at the van today and the wire to the sender unit had broke off.
repaired the wire and it seems to have fixed the problem

Hi yes it is diesel, and as soon as we released the brake it went back to normal

temperature gauge

Hi back again Im afraid. We were out in the bongo today, when I put my foot on the brake to slow down the temperature gauge dropped
right down to nothing.
I have checked the water and there doesent seem to be any problem there as it is at the correct levels.
Wondered if anyone had any idea what it ...

Hi thanks for replies, I have changed the filter and engine oil just wasnt sure where banjo was. Will have a look at injector pump tomorrow

changing engine oil

Hi just a quick question, I changed the engine oil and filter today but remember a topic about to check the banjo I think thats what it was called, but I never noticed anything when doing the filter, can anyone tell me where it is

reverse gear

Hi thought I"d give you an update on our reverse gear problem. Turns out the reverse clutch hub bush was damaged which in turn damaged the pump body , so had to have new clutch hub with pump reseal and re-plate hub and pump new filter and fluid.
So £1320.00 we are back on the road and hoping not to ...

Hi checked that the reverse gear was engaging and it was. then tried to reverse and it went backwards, but then tried again it wouldent do it. I have looked underneath and there is a leak on the return pipe to the gearbox. Do you think this would stop it reversing.
Any ideas would be appreciated ...

Hi have checked the oil, everything there seems fine, clean and full. I think its going to be another gear box, thanks for your help much appreciated

Hi Bob , the selector did go into position but the van would not reverse, but driving forward is fine

Hi hope someone can give me some advice, went out in the bongo today everything seemed to be running fine but when I went to reversed it wouldent do it. Hi we have a avetex digital aerial which was recommenedby the good people on this forum. We allways get good signal no matter where we have been. I think its about £38.00 worth every penny. regards Baz and Helen
