Re: Body Worn Cameras
Unless you are going to be filming something in complete darkness (which I'm assuming you will need at least enough light to be walking around!), a low light camera is a much better bet than infra-red. I won't bore you all to tears but many many reasons means it would be better just to steer clear a...

Re: Tinted Rear Window - can you see parking mirror?
Yes you can use the parking mirror. Vision at night is probably slightly reduced but nothing problematical. Not sure on the fitting side of things. Would it not be easier to get the existing window tinted?

Agreed, great place. When we visited we inadvertently left the back door of the car open while talking and ended up with a sheep in the back of the car!

Re: My van feels sluggish on a comparison run!
I'm sure someone will be along to provide more accurate help however I was always impressed just how quick off the mark our 4wd was. I've always had auto's and my last company car was a 192bhp auto Insignia, which was so much slower off the mark than the Bongo (only to react, not to accelerate!). I ...

Re: Is BP dropping the supply of Autogas?
Apparently many BP garages have already stopped selling LPG .. My tip is ask Taxi drivers where they source there's from as there are Independent tyre sellers / car wash sites etc who have an LPG tank to service mainly Taxis but will sell to anyone .. I use such a site local to me and pay 43p a lit...

Re: Is BP dropping the supply of Autogas?
If you can let me know where your local Shell is, I can look into it for you. The Shell estate is roughly 50/50 split between independents and Shell owned stations - obviously, the indies are able to do whatever they want with their LPG installations - but I'm not aware of it being removed on compa...

Re: Is BP dropping the supply of Autogas?
Are you sure as Shell is the latest garage to drop it in my area! I now have the choice of Morrisons or run it on petrol! Very inconvenient, as it's half hour out of my way but one by one they've all dropped off, 5 BP's and now the Shell garage as well.

Re: Vango airbeam awnings
Hi, we had one, I can't remember the model now but it was the long one, with the lower roof for campers. Fitted the Bongo perfectly and would highly recommend. A doddle to put up and easy to pack down too. As you, I like Vango products and it doesn't disappoint, has all the little extras like hooks ...

Re: And the Bongo is gone!
Hi Stargazer, Well so far so good but it is early days. I did a lot of research beforehand and found that both the Mk1 and Mk2 have their issues but the MK2 has fewer major ones, so we went with one of them. As mentioned above one of them (weak gear linkage) came true for us on the first trip out, s...

The family could never agree on a name so remained nameless for 4 years, would be good if you did name him/her.

That's a good question Bongolia, I did have a couple of spares, don't remember giving them away however didn't see them when I did the sweep of the garage to give you the parts I had. Let me look at the weekend and I'll come back to you.

Re: Front crossmember
Seen it now Bongolia. Is that the shim? How on earth do you even get it to come out the side there? No that definitely wasn't me! I spoke to the bodyshop yesterday and I started off making it sound like I was thinking of booking it back in, then that I had another quote that was vastly different, so...
