Re: rusty arches

http://www.freeindex.co.uk/profile(ceri-s-cars-and-commercials)_438603.htm Give him a ring on his mobile and see what he can do for you. I must warn you, though, he's about to make me a Grannie for the 4th time - my daughter's baby is due any day now. But give him a ring and tell him I suggested cal...

PLANS

As new Bongo owners it's not always easy to imagine what conversions look like. Is there anywhere where you can look at plans of interiors? I've found lots of pictures of conversions but I would like to see some kind of 'aerial' view of plans to look at and compare all the different options. Can any...

Re: rusty arches

My son-in-law in Penygraig is a good lad. He's an excellent welder and will even put it through the MOT for you.

Re: Northern Lights

Shetland, I reckon. We had a holiday up there in June so we could be on the most northerly point of the British Isles on the longest day of the year. The sun came up about 2 hours after it went down - useless for seeing the Northern Lights but they were magnificent and plentiful in January, February...

Re: From The 'Diff

I used to have a VW campervan in my misspent youth. It was about the time of the theory of people driving around in a vehicle that was merely a penile extension. I used to wonder what it said about me that I drove around with a double bed in the back !!

Re: From The 'Diff

I spend a lot of my working hours in Aberdare. I'll keep a look out for you, Dave.

Mr Mullet, I live midway between the sex shop and the offie, not fat from Home Bargains and the take-away. I don't even need to drive the Bongo to fulfil my everyday needs.

Re: Oh dear! Should I panic or just shrug?

He's a traditional mechanic and has been doing nothing else since he left school. He services loads of buses and coaches in this area and has just set up his own little yard and business so if anyone from the South Wales area needs any work doing on any of their vehicles, he's your man. He put Myfan...

Re: Oh dear! Should I panic or just shrug?

Thanks all. Bob, what a great philosophy. I shall steal that and claim it for my own! We've got another car, an 18 month old, 62mpg comfortable, reliable Mercedes so we won't be stuck at home. But hell....how boring is THAT??

Re: Oh dear! Should I panic or just shrug?

I wouldn't risk going away without it all being done. He said he is aware of the issues about bleeding the system but I'll email him the link anyway. He's a good lad and I do trust him. He's confident he'll get the water pump off his usual supplier he's just not sure whether the other bits will be d...

Oh dear! Should I panic or just shrug?

I asked my clever son in law to put a new timing belt on my newly acquired Bongo in time for our first Big Outing in Myfanwy. He put her up on the ramps and found that the water pump is a bit iffy so he's going to replace it. The bearings on the fan belt adjusters/idlers need replacing, it needs new...

Re: Safe heating for a Bongo when wild camping Is it Possibl

Taking The Fanny Wagon to Arran and Islay next weekend for a week and was wondering exactly the same thing. We thought about hot water bottles, but they're not easy to light your fag on.

Re: From The 'Diff

I'll make sure he knows about that, he has worked on one of his mate's Bongos in the past so I guess he'll have some kind of idea. He loves working on old classic vehicles and is what I would call an 'old fashioned' mechanic which in my mind means that it's the kind of thing he'll have figured out r...
