Re: inlet manifold possible leak
Three common sources of oil around that area are: - EGR pipe (inch or so steel pipe coming round from back of engine, over top of the injectors and into the elbow at the front of the inlet manifold) - rocker cover gasket, up top - camshaft oil seal at the front (oil dribbles down, and airflow blows...

Re: dashboard squeak, driving me nuts
Ha ha, after months of thumping, padding , applying pieces of sponge all over the place, bits of cardboard and lots of new swear words, ive finally cracked it. behind the fuse box there is a small soooooooooooo inaccessible screw which can only be reached if your a contortionist . After a bit of gra...

how far was your longest trip in a bongo
Did a tour of SW England at the start of July. From home in Scotland the round trip was well over 1000 and my 16 year old 2.5rd never missed a beat. This has encouraged me to head off through the channel tunnel next summer and do some serious miles on the continent. How far have you travelled in one...

Re: Fixing awning to the Bongo
I have the exact same awning and always use the metal pole that was supplied. Simply slide the pole into the end of the awning , slide it into the glittering and lock in place with the small clamps that came with it. Never moves even in strong wind. Always felt figure of 8 was a little less secure

Re: Where to go next week...good UK beach location?
Be wary of travelling hundreds of miles seeking better weather. I did over 1000 miles last week travelling to north devon then down into Cornwall thinking I'd get the sun . It was cloudy and windy , I may have been unlucky but this weekend I'll stick to the railway coast

Re: June meet Sunday 30th
Bu**er, wish id seen this earlier, i spent last weekend freezing in the wind and fog, yes fog at stowford farm campsite in north Devon. A wee run down to exeter would have been just the ticket. Can any of you locals tell me what it is with all the big hedges? i drove down the Atlantic highway to Bud...

Re: planing journey
You could do it in a day but if you want a stop off you could try lomond wood campsite at the south end of of loch lomond . It's a decent we site in balloch. Depends on your route really , if your going up the centre of the country better to find something near Stirling maybe?

dashboard squeak, driving me nuts
It's squawking like a bast@@@ demented chicken when I go on rough roads or over a bump / pot hole. I got so fed up today I could have thumped the dash with a blunt object. It's the drivers side and stops if I apply forward pressure with a finger in the area of the offside heater vent! I've wedged pa...

Re: Ignoring the wild camping aspect are campsites too expen
Hi Maybe it's just me, but camping, in my eyes , is going to somewhere isolated, and getting a tent/ caravan set up, and have somewhere to get water (usually a tap in a field), and a hole in the ground to empty the pot. True, the Fabulous Fandango calling itself the "EU" has come along an...
