True - but I'd be hoping for the ideal world scenario where they could just slot in with minimal effort!Gasy wrote:Any thing can be made to fit

Hi All,
Will seats from a Nissan Largo/Vanette fit into a Bongo?
Any experience with this and pics to show?
Thanks.

Re: V6 - Pre-Service Questions
Meant to post an update on this in case it helps someone else in future - The smell of fumes and rough exhaust sound was from some minor damage to the exhaust - whether related to the water dunking or not I don't know. It's been repaired and now all's good. Glow plugs were replaced - but there was n...

Should have said, it's a 1997 V6.
Thanks for the suggestions Haydn, will add those to the checklist.

V6 - Pre-Service Questions
Hi All, Using our Bongo as a daily driver (600km+ per week) and it has been faultless up to the start of this month - service is due in under 3000km, but I'm going to go a bit early as a couple of things have come up: [*] The Bongo stalled in a road puddle at the start of March - a road puddle that ...

Re: hello all, roll call
Good plan - I've only had to do cosmetic improvements so far like re-spray the front grill and wiper arms. I've also touched up any small stonechips but want to get it up on a neighbours ramp to investigate the undercarriage properly. Will look into waxoyling before the end of the summer.

Re: hello all, roll call
Thanks Helen, In all my time looking, it was the first petrol Bongo to come up for sale in Ireland. It's nice to have the option of LPG conversion if the mpg bothers me... so far though I'm happy with performance. It was a nice find though - Undersealed on import back in 2011 and a very nice, practi...

Re: hello all, roll call
Hello all! Been looking into(obsessing about) Bongos since last summer - New Years Resolution is to have one on the driveway by end of 2013. Based in the West - County Galway. Hi All, It took a lot longer than I thought to source a decent Bongo in Ireland... but now the happy owner of a 1997 2.5 V6...

Re: Irish Adventure
Great photos, I recognise a lot of those places! Meant to comment on this ages ago as I'm near Tuam, where did you wildcamp? Hope you sampled some pubs and bumped into a Sawdoctor... There's a great campsite near Ballina, Mayo - also a decent one in Enniscrone, Sligo which is walking distance to a b...

Re: Info on traders in Northern and Southern Ireland
Thanks Simon and Teenmal, There are some nice ones up for sale on the Bongofury marketplace - I know from experience bringing other cars in from UK that it adds an extra 600euro minimum to the price, and that's when you know what you're buying, not if you're checking out a few different options. I d...

Re: Info on traders in Northern and Southern Ireland
(tumbleweed... :) ) Obviously not many Irish people using this forum - but can anyone else help as regards that UK reg bongo I linked to? Look familiar to anyone? Any good free online reg checkers? tried autotrader.co.uk but not much to be seen there. It does say it's 1996, as opposed to the sellers...

Info on traders in Northern and Southern Ireland
Hello all, The Bongo supply here in Ireland is limited compared to the UK but my search continues... I'm just wondering if anyone in UK or Ireland has had any dealings with the following sellers - you may recognise the area or phone number: N.I. Lisbellaw, Fermanagh BT94, UK http://www.donedeal.ie/f...
