Re: tough northeners in vest

I wish I was still going - winds or no winds.

You all enjoy yourselves

Hope to meet up with some of you at the scottish bash if I can get my hands on a new Bongo in time. [-o<

Re: Replace glass parking mirror

I've got a cracked mirror and have been waiting for someone to describe how to replace it.

So if all parties concerned are interested and willing to pass Haydn's ex on to me I would be up for the challenge of seeing if its possible. 8)

Re: Rear Suspension

Thanks Tony,

I'll keep that in mind - but probably a bit early for me.

I'll look into that place though as I'll be not far away later in the year.

Re: Rear Suspension

Hi Spitineye,

nice to hear from you again -

As a matter of interest was that much of a job?
I've been thinking of doing the front shocks on mine.

Were they perticularly bad or was it just for a better ride?

Re: bolts for plastic seat back trays

I've replaced some of the screwrivets with threaded inserts.

When I've got the seats reversed I use straps bolted onto the seat backs to hold the rolled up self-inflating mattress in place for easy storage between the front and reversed seats.

Re: Electrical drain problem

Hi Wi11iBongo, If the clutch is coming on as soon as you connect the battery then the relay must be fused with the contacts closed, or the signal from the ECU is shorted to ground. As far as I can tell from the schematics the relay in question is the middle one in the bank of three in the covered bo...

Re: Rad Fan Switch (sensor?)

Hi Spencer, The sensor is an RTD mounted in the block just above the starter motor. It is connected into the ECU (Engine Control Unit) that uses the signal to affect other functions as well as the radiator fans. I have not heard of anyone changing out this sensor as a matter of routine – you would l...

Re: Aberdeenshire Day Meet

looking forawrd to this - maybe 7 Bongos :D

Is this the actual car park?
http://www.multimap.com/s/kgtWpXCR

Doesn't look very big - does it get used by locals on Sunday for parking for the football pitches that appear to be on the field?

Re: Aberdeenshire Day Meet

Yes Inverurie is OK with me. Exactly where is the car park you mention - North or South, upstream or downstream of the B993 bridge? I've driven past it lots of times but can't remember exactly where it is  I take it there are some picnic benches or similar there? - to brew up on 8) Looking for...

Re: Aberdeenshire Day Meet

OK we're up for it. 8)

Sunday would be best - wouldn't be all day but go up for lunch & a walk.

I'll copy this onto the local section as well - see if we can get some more takers there.

Re: Aberdeenshire Day Meet

Hi Holly,

I like the sound of that - need to check with the boss regards plans for next weekend first.

I don't see much in the way of woods on my maps - can you be more specific?

regards Grahame
