Re: 35mpg - can't be right...?

I normally get about 27-29 mpg out of my unconverted 2.5TD AT. Coming back from the Western Highlands yesterday, I was keeping a steady 45 mpg wherever possible - into lockup, a bit more to ensure I was in a reasonable power range and not dropping out of lockup too easily, and just bumbling on home...

Re: I’ve lost my head – surgeon needed

Hi Grahame, I am picking up my Bongo today from Dairsie Autopoint near St Andrews where it has been in for a service. I will ask him if it is something he does or can he recommend someone. It is certainly nearer than Huddersfield. I will also ask a friend in your area who runs a Triumph Stag if he c...

Re: fiamma bike rack + spoiler: cut or remove?

I plan to fit a bike rack in the near future and have a spoiler fitted. How useful is the spoiler, I know it keeps the rear window clean, but could I do without it? How easy is it to remove?

Re: Fuel guage

likewise I have fixed the fuel guage using the advice on here. I could have bought a kit off e-bay for £14.99 + P & P. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-bongo-repair-kit-fuel-gauge-dont-spend-50-hour-garage-bill-save-s-/230796444341?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item35bc8a42b5 Bewa...

Replacing awning with a Gazebo

Being of advanced years I do not enjoy doing battle with an awning. I am considering using a 'pop up' gazebo instead. Similar to this waterproof one from Argos http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6510037/Trail/searchtext%3EGAZEBO.htm#pdpFullProductInformation I appreciate that it will n...

Is there some way of checking?
I would think that if it is not present the bottom hose would start to warm fairly quickly.

Re: Temperature gauge problem

I have swapped my 96 diesel for a 2002 2.0 with lpg - which is great, apart from a problem with the temperature gauge. It does not register at all, remaining below zero while I am driving - not even a flicker. However, when I stop and turn the engine off, but leave the key in the ignition (switched...

Re: France at last!

Hi Graham, A trip across the Millau Bridge (pronounced Me yo) is a must. Then there is Carcasonne and a walk or boat ride along the Canal du Midi. Enjoy. I was towing an Esterel folding caravan with a Triumph Stag but still preferred to use the toll roads. Be aware of latest motoring requirements in...

Re: where to buy in Scotland - or should i look further afie

I called in at MVM in Cairneyhill the other day but he was on his own and could not show me any vans but his prices seem reasonable Best to phone first if you plan on visiting. I bought private, full conversion, and plan on taking it to Dairsie for a full service and check over.
