Re: Underseal / Waxoyl Garage

Bongo friendly garage in East Linton does wax oiling. As you come East from Haddington down the A199 it's the very first premises. The guy Chris Allan does servicing and repairs to several bongos in East Lothian.

Re: Water pump working but no water coming through tap

You need a low coolant alarm on a bongo that is a must have. If your bongo has not been driven on salted roads and looks in good condition underneath I would get it waxoiled, certainly with all the dry conditions we have had recently the underside should be fairly dry. A local garage near me in east...

Re: North East Beamish mini meet ..

Shame Mike, I don't understand the logic in people not going to meets especially potentially one as good as this, I learned more about my bongo in the early days by attending meets, getting great advice and seeing other bongos, and made some good friends, however in bongo land in Scotland it is exac...

Re: Highest Pub in Scotland, 11th-12th March 2017

Yes, the weather doesn't look to be too bad, not perfect by any means but not too cold and no snow or ice etc so a reasonable prospect. I'm not sure what reception we're going to get at the Inn, when I contacted them in November they were all for it, perhaps they still are but now I can't get hold ...

Re: Time to Say Goodbye

I checked them all out before buying my bongo and found the elgrand to be the best to drive and was cheaper than the alphrad, unfortunately they are all tin tops and at the time conversion costs were quite a bit more expensive than the bongo, the elgrand I tested had the Nissan 350z engine with lpg ...

Re: Scottish Bongo Bash 2017

Agree totally Tony, the amount of people I've heard of getting breathalised the next morning and failing or being a borderline pass, thru drinking the previous evening has made me impose an 8pm drinking curfew if I'm driving the next morning.

May just pop down in the car for the day then, have a bar lunch and see who's about, and say hello.

Myself and John Dixon,(another former bongo owner) are up for this Muzz do we book the pub carpark with yourself or contact the pub. We both have small motorhomes under 6m long so not much more room taken up than a bongo.
Will send you a pm.

Re: 225/45/18 tyre pressure ?

However after about 10 k the inner and outer edges of all 4 tyres were completely scuffed with no tread left on ...

Play keyboards and accordion, (squeezebox) hence "Jim the box" I could not think of a better name when I joined fury about 5 years ago. Played in organ/keyboards in several wedding bands, going right back to the 70's but now it's mostly accordion work (as it's much more portable) and I do ...
