Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting

Derek, it probably took me about a day in total - although I did it in fits and starts but I am by no means any sort of mechanical wiz... The thing that took a while was the test driving afterwards and then tinkering with it to get it working properly after that.

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting

Had another go at it this afternoon with renewed gusto. Now seems to be working at all speeds after taking a new connection on the SP+ (Blue and White) wire, but after the speedo chip. Happy days, my right foot is very pleased with the results. Thanks for the help and all the info Simon - much appre...

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting

Hmm, I've tried all 3 sensitivity settings, no noticeable difference between them. Maybe I need to try the blue and white speedo connection before it enters the "chip"? Read an old post where the system would not engage at all which was due to a bad connector. Logic tells me the problem mu...

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting

Prior to using the Green and Red wire, I used the blue and white before the speedo chip i.e. with the chip in between the take-off for the CC and the speedo itself. With this config, the CC didn't work at all.

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting

So I fitted the system this afternoon. Couple of problems maybe someone will be able to advise on. Stationary tests of the servo and electrics show the system is working, however... Before I cut the little black loop the CC would only engage below 40mph. I cut the loop, the system will mow only enga...

Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting

Hi There,

I've been looking at getting one of these kits fitted to my V6 bongo for a continental trip in July.
I've read all the previous posts, but was wondering if anyone had a fact-sheet they wouldn't mind sharing with me to assist the fitting?

Boot lid tail light - how to replace

May be a rather silly question but not had to do it yet and thought I would check before attempting it but...

How do I change the tail light on my bongo, the one in the cluster on the boot lid (post 99 model)?

I'm guessing removing the interior trim panel?

Fitting a double din cage

Hello There, To celebrate my bongo being fixed after a break-in and then some dodgy garage work i've decided to get a double din, sat nav, TV, bluetooth head unit to replace my single din stereo and cubby box. I've had a good search on here for a relevant post but can't seem to find what i'm after. ...

Re: V6 Chugging, rev fluctuation and smoke

She is now back up and running like new! Turns out the new plugs they put in when servicing it were duff and one had a hairline crack in it. Now the Garage just need to fix the sills that they managed to damage while putting in on a ramp! Can't believe they managed to do this to it on top of the oth...

Re: V6 Chugging, rev fluctuation and smoke

Update: Have just been to see her at the Garage, fired it up determined to get it to AVA in Surrey, it now seems to be misfiring on more than one cylinder and sounds rather more like a 2 stroke than a V6! Spoke to the owner who looked rather worried, and is going to get a detailed breakdown of exact...

Re: V6 Chugging, rev fluctuation and smoke

Thanks Haydn, £120 for a set of leads from Mazdabongo shop. How easy would it be to determing if the leads have been re-attach in the worng order? Are the reference # from the lush diagram on the actual leads? Think I'll just get it to a specialist garage and get them to change the lot (Leads, Dizzy...
