Error codes - 2002 2.5l Turbo Diesel
Dear Gurus I have a 2002 Bongo that I drive most days. On a long journey recently the glow plug started flashing & my Bongo garage tells me that the error codes are P0400 & P1228. They are suggesting that the turbo itself might be the problem (although they say this is uncommon in vans that ...

You forgot kippers - you can just toss them on the fire for breakfast - dust w/ a little cayenne pepper & your hangover is history!!

Re: Paint for grey auto free top roof
When I got my Bongo the AFT looked rather dull & grey - like primer/undercoat. But I cleaned it off with clay & then waxed it - now it is shiny & smooth to the touch. It was an extremely satisfying thing to do as it literally went from being matt to shiny in one easy step!

Re: carbon monoxide alarm advice
We are selling our house & had to have them fitted as we have 3 gas fires. So we bought an extra one for the Bongo - I will fit it tomorrow.

Re: help, very sick bongo
I mainly just wanted to comiserate with you - what a horrible start to the wonderful world of Bongo.
I must say after 2 weeks I think you might have some redress with the previous owner esp. as you paid so much. But I am sure someone who knows more about it than me will be along soon.

Re: I waxed my AFT . . .
Thank you very much. It really is my price and joy - I use it almost every day. And many thanks to Discount Trucks for supplying it and continuing to look after it - and to Celtic Motohomes for doing such a lovely job converting it. Am now becoming slightly tempted by the idea of a solar panel on th...

Re: 12 V Cool box - are they noisy?
I've got one - but I haven't used it yet. My plan is to leave it in my storage tent - so it won't disturb me.

Re: Powering a cool box
Thanks all - right RCD it is - not much point in taking the dog to training and then frying it!! (thanks also for the tip about a box w/ a catch - hadn't thought of that). Simon - the link you posted seems to have a long hook up cable - am looking for one without. the1andonly - I couldn't make your ...

Powering a cool box
I've just bought an electric cool box for use with the Bongo. Basically the fridge wasn't large enough to put all the dog food I need to take with me when I go away on training trips (don't ask - that's just how I like to feed my dog). So the plan is to leave the cool-box at the campsite inside my s...

Re: Bongo rear side windows
I think you'd better post a picture. My rear windows used to open (snap catch) - but then I got a side conversion and I don't think they open any more . . .

Re: External thermal screens
Here is what I got - it was £50 - but it's a pretty good fit. It's in 3 pieces which velcros together - so you can adjust it a bit for fit. Once fitted I fold in my mirrors & it has held well in place in quite high winds. http://www.justkampers.com/review/product/list/id/3204/category/705/ (I fo...
