i came across this thread after experiencing some of the problems as previously discussed in earlier posts.
i thought i would have it sorted after someone mentioned fuse 1, but when i removed the cover, i was confronted with this.

There's one on the other side?Swap it with the one in the passenger side & see if it does the same job.

the wrong model may be a possibility. The one i bought had a line of connectors blanked off with a little yellow plastic plug, which i had to remove to get my three pins connector plug to fit. i didn't think it would make a difference at the time.
