Lights shorting out

Post by WesternWanderer » Tue Apr 04, 2023 10:45 am

Hi all,
I've an issue with my lights shorting out and can't pass the CVRT (Irish MOT)
Any recommendations for a course of action or a garage in Ireland that might be useful, most garages are not familiar with the Bongo and are scared to touch.
Cheers,
The Western Wanderer

Hi, and welcome to BF.

Bongo electrics are old school simple, so any auto sparks should be able to help out.

It's the parking, number plate and dash lights shorting out.
Trying a guy this afternoon 🤞

Have you had any recent work carried out, especially any welding ?

Good news all,
The auto electric guys couldn't find the issue with the wiring but I realised that the reversing light glass was cracked and water was getting in and causing the short.
Fix the crack, fix the issue!😎
