Good Phone / small ipad Holders?

Hi intelligent ones...
We are planning a long road trip and we would like to buy a good sound Iphone / ipad holder for the navigation and camera applications.
Do any of you have a good installation / recommendations?
The one need is that it has to be more or less central so that access is good from driver or passenger side..
