turning seats

Post by bongobearett » Wed Mar 01, 2017 1:48 pm

question if we turn our seats round the back bench seat, can we fit the lap belts to it from our surplus back folding seats, we have a kitchen but it also came with spare seats as kitchen pod can be removed.

From an MOT testing point of view in the UK rear facing seats do not require any belts to be fitted.
I dare say you could fit the lap belts though I have no direct knowledge of how to achieve this.
Someone on here may.

It's true that in the uk rear facing seats don't need belts, however my insurer (CC&C) insure 'the number of seat-belted seats in the vehicle'. Also, in Europe all seats need seat belts.

Mine have lap belts fitted - sorry I didn't do them myself (got a bongo mechanic to do it while he was reversing the seat for us), but they attach to the actual seat underneath, not the floor if that's any help!
