Re: East Midlands National Bongo Day Rutland Water
Hi,
Visited Rutland Water today dispite the snow. Cafe is very nice and I think the location will be well suited. Car park is good size and views of the resevoir are excelent from here. Car park charges are not unreasonable at £3 for the day, so make sure you bring change. The prices in the cafe are reasonable, but be warned if you use a debit or credit card there is a charge of £1 for purchases of under £10.
Cheers
Richard

Thinking of getting over for the meet on Sunday. We were planning to cycle around Rutland Water and so wondered if there were any details about what is going on and what time people will be around until. We planned to get there early and cycle - so may not get to the cafe until 11:30 or later...........so just wanted to check everyone wont have gone as it is due to be cold Brrrrrrr!

I think most will be there for a few hours so 11:30 shouldn't be a problem. If our son comes with us he will cycle round so we will be there at least 2 hours and probably more.
We went last week and its is very muddy, spare clothes and towel essential.

Re: East Midlands National Bongo Day Rutland Water
Hi,
I'm planning on being there for about 10:30 so that I can get set up (weather permiting) for rustling up butties etc.
I'm expecting it to be an informal meet as haven't on this occasion had the time to come up with any particular activities.
So arrival times 11:00 onward is fine.
Got some stickers to hand out and a card for all to sign and send back for Ian. Would like to get all together for group photo etc.
Cheers

Good Meeting today! A little chilly - but that is the time of year.
Great start for the East Midlands region
Congratulations for organising it. We look forward to meeting fellow Bongoliers during the year.

A big thanks to Richard for organising and cooking for the day out. Hi to everyone else we saw and thanks for letting me look round and in your Bongos I have some new ideas to keep me busy. I also saw my first bongo cube kitchen as well.

Re: East Midlands National Bongo Day Rutland Water
Absolutely. Despite the cold, it was a really good turn out. Almost 20 Bongos in all. I've been on quite a few forums in the past, and never met anyone from them, so it was nice to meet people in person today. Hopefully there'll be more meets throughout the year. Thanks to Richard for organising it all.

Yeah it was great fun apart from the cold although Richards sausage buns helped.
