Swish Furniglyde Curtain Track around Bongo front windscreen

I have posted a sequence of photographs showing the process to fit two lengths of Swish Furniglyde curtain rail in the front of a Ford Freda / Mazda Bongo

With more time and care I am sure the curves could be made smoother, however Helen is very happy, we did not have to provide anything to hold the curtains either together or onto the dash!

Tools required?

A hair dryer to soften the rail to form nice smooth curves WATCH out, it goes very soft very quick and will close up if bent around one of the holes
A screwdriver to match the self tapping screws (small enough to fit easily through the pre drilled holes in the track)
A bigger screwdriver to undo the grab handle and sun visor retaining screws to make access easier
A sharp point to make holes in the headlining and the plastic facia
A junior hacksaw to trim the track to size

Possibly a small bolt cutter to trim the self tapping screws to the right length to avoid damage behind the headlining/fascia

SUNDRIES

Self Tapping Screws
Some screw clips to hold the screws you use to fit the rail and or the brackets to the interior trim

OTHER "photo stories"

Keyfob battery replacement / key fob battery replacement: http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnbullas ... 720241228/

Oil filler cap location 2 litre auto petrol http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnbullas ... 221214428/

Next on the agenda is sorting the "squeaking mouse-trapped under the floor speed related whizzing noise" - exhaust manifold torque check later hopefully with a squirt of belt lube for good measure
