have been reading some of the comments on sleeping in unconverted bongos in england. We have an unconverted tin top and are touring france next month for 3 weeks. Has any one experienced any problems like that over there ? :?

See the reply here - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =6&t=49388 Very different attitude to camping in France, they actually encourage it as long as you can live out of the vehicle, lots of Aires provided all over Europe, but especially France. Municipal Campsites pretty cheap & widespread over there too. Have a look in the Going Abroad section of the forum

We camped in France on a couple of occasions in our last Bongo, an unconverted tintop, with no issues at all. Sometimes we just stayed in the van and set up tables and chairs outside, sometimes we put up a tent (we didn't have an awning as such). Usually we were simply charged as a campervan (camping-car). No problems.
