I recently asked for advice i can now summarise the succesful repair .The motor was seized i removed stripped down cleaned and oiled bushes .Bench tested perfect but not working in situ the seized motor had led to a soldered connection in the resistor bank parting i opened this up resoldered refitted all now good any questions ill be glad to help.It did help being an electrical type person.
