On a serious note, make sure all are wearing life jackets (and wetsuits?). the water in Windermere is (I suspect) cold and deep and dangerous.

I'll be in me deck chair, enjoying the spectacle from the shoreline (no change there then :roll: ) :lol: :lol: :lol:

It's about a 500 yd circuit - there will be some tired arms at the end of that :D

Ditto Mike's life-jacket comment - Dave will know better than most how cold the water gets away from the shoreline.

That will definitely be a spectacle worth videoing :lol:

Hey Di

How about asking our friends from Bay SAR if they want to come and play with their boat and act as safety backup for the boat race?
You coulod donate entry fees/whip round to them and invite them to the barbie? Just a thought?

Might well pop over for a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon/evening.

cheers

thats brill muz,at least we wont get lost with your map, :lol: :lol: :lol: ,i stand a 50% chance of winning as there is only 2 of us so far.
the rules again.
the dingy must be a 1 man one,the cheapest and smallest they make.
ist one round the island and back is the winner!!!!
its that simple.
i will bring extra life jackets for peeps who dont have there own.

let the games commence

ps off to the gym now for an hour on the rowing machine. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
