I haven't done cider, but Wined a fair bit through France on quite a few occasions! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: ....Best Continental tipple is Trappiste beer....topped off with alcoholic grenadine (none of your cordial stuff and nonsense) and it's a real knife and fork jobbie in a glass....just the ticket!

I'm glad you went out to Wilkins. The cider is probably the best I've ever had and the cheese is just superb, especially the Stilton. One of my favourite places to go. You can't explAin the country charm of this place and the cobwebs just add to it.
I remember a few years ago Jamie Oliver went there for one of his programmes and cooked pork in the cider. He finished off by standing in the orchard giving a final closure to the programme and had obviously had too much cider that day. It was hilarious!!!!
One for the bucket list if you've never been.
