21st - 22nd April, Meet Red Squirrel Campsite.
Re: 21st - 22nd April, Meet Red Squirrel Campsite.
We're still hoping to be there, but I've not confirmed for sure yet as our plans keep changing. We're going out to a gig on the Friday, so would be driving up on the Saturday. Hopefully we can set off early enough to get a hike in when we arrive.
Apologies for not responding to the PMs about confirming bookings, but we're not certain on our plans yet.

Sorry, I don't get paid enough to afford that stuff.
I do have a nice 12 year Dalmore (xmas pressie) that might make it down.

Hope we get weather like we've had this weekend for the Glencoe trip!!!
Looks like it's going to be our first Bongo camping trip so we'll be the ones puzzling over how to errect our awning, trying not to lose our kids (unless they've been horrid on the trip up in which case we'll be trying to lose them) and wondering whether the many items we've forgotten are important!!
We've already stocked up on skin so soft - looking forward to the trip!

What type of awning do you have? You are bound to find someone who knows how to put it up, if not we will all have to muddle through. I have a Kyham Motordome myself but will not be using it at this meet as June will be staying at home. I will probablly just use the Caravanstore pull out awning but if last years meet is anything to go by I will be too lazy to even pull out that.

Mountainmummy This weather is amazing! But get Smidge, it is way better than skin so soft. I think they sell it at the campsite.
As for your awning there is always some one willing to help.
see you soon

We've always used skin so soft, but can confim the Red Squirrel were flogging smidge last year. I think they import midges especially to generate sales of the stuff.

There are plenty of places where you can buy the stuff, even the local Visitor Information Centres flog it.

Hi
Don't know if I can give up the skin so soft, it's such fun watching my husband trying to look manly while slathering himself in Avon

Still hoping to make this but will be Bongoless as we have no time to use it this month and it is still on SORN. If the weather is ok shall dash up myself with the only thing better than a Bongo .. Ducati and tent!

Sorry to hijack the topic but...........
Anyone coming to Red Squirrel from Vanvliet's "neck of the woods" and able to relay alloys?
If not, not a problem I'd just have to take the long way home.
Cheers.
