Power steering fluid and oil were changed by a garage last week as the steering had begun to feel like that of dodgem. Really stiff at times, really loose at others but there was no regular pattern to it. Drove home beautifully from the garage but from the following morning the van's been making a rubbing/groaning as soon as it's put into gear, which fades as the engine warms up and the steering feels just as bad as it did before the fluid changes.
Going back to the garage on Monday but I'm not very confident that they will know what to do about it. Any advice gratefully received. Thanks

Re: Power Steering fluid/noise
Noise aside there are two Universal Coupling joints (U/C) on the steering column, these often dry out from grease/oil and give stiff steering results, try greasing the inside one first as that seems to often be the culprit;

Unlike the garage, who claim not to be able to hear the noise
