How that X trail going. Do the seats glow in the dark still?
Re: I'm selling me bongo
When I read this bit of your post "We spoke on phone he said , I will have it even if engine blown".
I thought ,we have a right ZOOMER here.

Re: I'm selling me bongo
The x trail is un beleavable at towing will take my 1 1/2T caravan from 40 mph to 70mph up hills in 5th gear and keeping up with the flow of traffic up the hills no prob
And the caravan was well over weight had the motorbike, 2 push bikes, 3 12v batts, coal, wood food for the week on board and I didn't know it was behind me
Never had a vehicle with any where close to 170bhp before
Don't know if the seats glow in the dark
But my ass was when I put the heated seat on
Ouch , what's the idea with them , they will give you farmer Giles if you not all ready got um
Reversing cam when are you supposed to get chance to look in it with a rear view mirror and 2 wing mirrors and the over shoulder look , you'd be there for 5 mins before you made a move
Sat nav does not do post codes only town / street
I'm getting 350 miles to a 65ltr tank and half of that was towing the pikey wagon and the other half was not taken at a easy pace
That's twice as far out of a tank full as the bongo would do towing
Next bank holl I'm up in the lakes
That will test it
It's a bit posh for me and I've not driven a car for over 12 years
Still carnt take the corners in the correct line with the front wheels right out in front of you
( not under your feet like in a van )
But I will put up with it

Re: I'm selling me bongo
Hello gasy
Great to hear that you sold the bus , well done
You said in one of your earlier posts that you put a extra cooling rad on to the gearbox , could you give some details on this if you wouldn't mind ie where did you source the rad and how / where along the system was it fitted ? I could be interested in doing something like this to our bus It would do no hard on our summer French trips up and down hills
Thanks in advance
Brian

Re: I'm selling me bongo
I know my explanation is hard to understand
Basically you have to cut / disconnect the small rubber hose from the. Bottom left of the existing/cooling rad at front of vehicle
This hose contains auto box fluid
And conect that hose to your new 13 row rad
Top up fluid it don't take a lot
Job done
Hardest bit is fixing the new rad infront of the existing cooling rad

Re: I'm selling me bongo
Thanks for that Gasy and the ebay link .
At £63 it sounds like a good investment to help the gearbox out , are you taking one hose from your existing cooler to the new 13 row item of two , im assuming its the two , flow and return ?
Thanks
Brian
