Bongo camp bed for a 1 yr old - any recommendations?
We're recent(ish - six months) proud parents and are talking about heading abroad in the Bongo in 2015 (after a few practice runs closer to home) when darling offspring is a little older.
Has anyone got any sleeping recommendations? I have seen a cockpit 'hammock' which looks good and know Montague do 'cat flap' conversions for when kids are a little older, but what else is there out there?
Thanks in advance!

I guess it depends on the layout of your bongon. When our youngest was little we used a
baby travel cot thing, bit like a mini lined tent. As we had one bench seat and the front seats,
the baby was on the floor at the back in the travel cot. Plenty of room and worked fine. Now she's older she
just sleeps next to mum or me on the back seats. Just bought a hammock for the older one.
See how that works out.

Our Bongo is a full side conversion so most of the space in the rear is taken up when the bed is laid out. We're ideally looking for something we can put in the cab, but the NSA Standard Travel Cot looks likes a great buy whatever.
Lancy - be intrigued to find out how you get on with the hammock!
Alan - when you say "cot on flatten front seat" do you mean that the seat is fully reclined?

We've tried all sorts. Only summer last year finally felt right (for now...)
We had a <1yo and a 5yo - big boy went in a cab bed up front with window screens and a blanket up to separate off his space. The little one went upstairs above the cab with a simple bed rail to contain him - we've actually removed the internal ceiling, so no big people upstairs.
Not sure what we'll do when he's two... what felt right last year may not work for long. We might put the ceiling back in, or boards, or do cat flap, or whatnot... Cab bed is a great idea for one kid, tho! Another option is an actual hammock.

Have a look here http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 0&start=15
I'm going to get this post moved to the "Bongoing with Children" section so we can keep everything together and easy to find.
