Service - Bongo

Post by Fylde » Fri Jul 15, 2011 11:42 am

This must have been asked on quite a few occasions but hey,as I am new to all this ..
I am seriously thinking about purchasing a Bongo, however not being all that technical minded
my worries centre around servicing, spare parts etc. I would be most grateful if anyone could advise
on a garage(s) in the Blackpool / Fylde area that would be happy to working on Bongo's

Many thanks

welcome, the bongo is fairly straight forward in most respects, and most good garages should be fine. i dont know of any in the fylde area.
the only quirky thing on a bongo is the cooling system that needs a bit more knowledge to maintain, other than that its a easy job.
parts are available easily, either direct from mazda or several good specialists by post.plenty of second hand spares on the auction sites too.
if you click the top right search tab on here you can type in key words like service, oil change, etc and lots of reading will come up,click on the title that comes up.

Probably the /nearest/best service/maintainance centre to you is Wheelquick at Wigan. Plenty of endorsements through this forum.

Another possibility is Charles's on t5he A6 between Garstang and Caton.

Good luck

I take mine to Adrian at Japan Direct in Bury, and enjoy a day at the wonderful world beating Bury market while he does the car. He is a top Bongo expert (does all Manchester Campers cars), a really nice guy, and his prices are good. Wheelquick are great, but very busy when I last went there. I enjoy the peace in Bury and can highly recommend Adrian :-)

I'm with mikeonb4c - Adrian's a top bloke and very reasonably priced, maybe a bit out of your way but great non the less.
