Re: Bongo Wiring Manuals
Update: As I come across spare module boards, and have the time, I will add the relevant circuit diagrams of the boards to the site. The first is the AFT module or "Unit Lift-Roof" as its marked Click the Orange box in the wiring diagram below;
These are not likely to be of much help in finding faults, but might be handy in the future if any of the modules become scarce and do need repairing, however if the AFT module is anything to go by then as its 90% SMT, identifying / obtaining anything but the basic components will be a problem i.e. the 4 bit microprocessor with ROM code is never going to be sourced as a new item! The relay on the board however is still in production and is possibly something that could be easily repaired
Many thanks also to Ady (Northern Bongolow) for the loan of the above module
If anyone else has any spare modules / boards they want to loan (and if I have time) PM me, good candidates would be;
Sliding door Auto closure module
Sound Warning module
Climate Control module in the A/C
ECU and or TCU might be nice but likely to be time consuming due to there size, also differing versions in each vehicle type
the SRS and ABS boards have safety issues involved so probably best not to get involved with these!

Re: Bongo Wiring Manuals
Arghhhhh I'm afraid the Wiring Manuals site has just died, my server appears to have TWO raid disks die within minutes of each other ......
It is all backed up and secure but unless I can get one of the disks back up then I may be down for a day or two whilst waiting for new disks to arrive .....
More details when I know what's actually gone wrong
Edit: Right not quite as bad as first appeared , the single faulty disk had screwed up the interfaces so that the other disk couldn't be accessed, the faulty drive is now out and the system has "recovered" and running degraded until I put a new disk back in to provide the resilience! Good thing that the price of disk drives has come back down again to sensible prices.

Re: Bongo Wiring Manuals
PC's are not my strong point. So I have no idea what that meant. But great work Geoff!

Re: Bongo Wiring Manuals
Hi all
A new Bongo owner and looking forward to a happy relationship with it.
However a bit of help please.I looked at this site about August and I am sure I downloaded the manuals to use off line, can't find the file on my system.I can't find the section on the forum or the data base either.
Can you please advise where the downloads gone.I seem to think I have found a reference to CD versions?
I am trying to solve a problem of fog lights not working.
Second having just had fitted reversing sensors I am wanting to disable the bongo reversing alert when put in reverse, any one any idea where the soundewr is or where the wiring driving it may be?
Hope someone can help
Derrick

Re: Bongo Wiring Manuals
There isn't a download as such of the manuals they are available on-line go to the start of this thread http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 55#p363255
Ian sells copies of the original Manuals on a CD, see the Top Right corner for a link to the shop.
The Sound warning system is here on the diagrams and the reversing signal is on the Red/Yellow wire on the F pin of the connector of the sound module, disconnecting that wire will be sufficient to stop the warning bleep.

Re: Bongo Wiring Manuals
Good news! After 2 years of trying I have finally managed to track down the wiring manuals for post-99 Bongos. These are in paper format (published manuals) and will be sent from Japan shortly.
So on arrival all (all!) we have to do is translate the contents/index pages scan them and then pass them over to Geoff to park them on the web, We will also issue them on CD.
Happy days........
