Hi,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a good and reputable 'bongo friendly' garage in the Scottish Borders and / or Edinburgh.

Thanks in advance!!

GBL Motors, Duff St Lane (off Dalry Road) has been mentioned on here before.

Alternatively, if you can make it across to Kirkcaldy, Bill at Campercraft and the garage next door to him know their stuff.

Edit: Have you tried any of the suggestions on the other thread re: smoke? Or are you just going to take it in...? ;)

We use GBL, seems cheap and reliable.

I used GBL last year for both my Bongo and my Jeep on dandywarhol's advice. Old School Mechanic with a paintsprayer son. Excellent service but next time I am going to try a small backstreet garage where I live to whom I have been giving bits and pices of work to do on both my Bongo and my Jeep throughout the year. I'm not ready to trust him with the Bongo's cooling system yet but then Ady does that for me and there are non better than him.

The problem with going to GBL for me is that both my services and MOT's come in mid January and the 70 mile round trip in snow and ice conditions on the winding A7 is a bit hairy to say the least.
