We were looking forward to meeting other Bongoers
Gary and Tina, we were particularly hoping to say hello to you as you are our near neighbours.
I hope you all have a lovely time and don't get too wet.

Sorry to hear you've been ill WishI... Got back today, and a good time was had inspite of Saturday's rain. Walked along the river path to Symonds Yat and sampled the wares in the village hostelry, very good too.

Sorry not to have made it to this meet, I was hoping to combine it with a trip to Hay-on Wye, (town of bookshops), but my Italian students didn't leave for home until Saturday am. Sounds as if you had a good time despite the weather. Hope you enjoy the rest of your hols Tim and Chris, see you at the next meet. Jo.
Under ground, over ground, bongoing free!

Hi All,
Had a great time in the forest despite the rain. Thank to Bob and Haydn for the company and nice to meet 'in the congo' (I told you I'd soon forget your names, sorry).
Went on to Rhayader. also very wet & windy but that meant that the Elan Valley Dams were in full flood. Plenty of red kites around, and low flying jets.
I will admit to having one nights B&B to shower and take a breath. This was in Bishops Castle, a small town with two brewerys - heaven. Got talking to the brewer and dicovered that his wife came from Calne! Small world.
The bank holiday w/e was spent at the Shrewsbury Folk festival. More beer and some great music. Oh & much better weather. Saw several bongos but not to speak too.
I'm off to South Devon tomorrow to see the grand children.
Looking forward to Looe. See you there.
Regards
Tim
