Had to purchase agroup 1 seat yesterday - the often mentioned Britax First class Plus seat didn't fit safely whichever seatbelt route was used sadly (in a '99 bongo, first row of rear seats).

What did fit -was the Maxi Cosi Tobi seat, http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/sto ... 5732_10001

We went to Paul Stride today as we intended to get a rear facing group 1 seat as the little on has out growm the group 0 and having seen the scarry vids on you tube we wanted to keep her rear facing for as long as possible - no probs with room in the bongo, unfortuantaly due to the long buckels on the seatbelt the manager (who they shop staff got the help us as they'd never heard of a Bongo) was not happy with
The seat is really nice, it fits in really easily and can be taken from car to car in seconds, it has a recline f
You may have trouble finding it else where as it's only available as an import (so many good things are  ) but if you are near York I would happily send anyone to the place we went. Here's the link http://www.paulstride.co.uk/group-1-2-3 ... 25705-.php

Looks good, but link not working..'no longer available' etc. Can you tell us the full make, model etc?

Thanks

Ours is remarkably similar - Kiddy Comfort Pro, which was top of the Which? list in 2009, iirc. Kiddy keep evolving their product line but even the new ones still look quite similar.
