We’ve been to Glastonbury a few times to watch bands and have an evening out
The best site for the town centre is The Isle of Avalon
http://avaloncaravanpark.co.uk/
It’s a nice site and is only about a 10 minute walk to the town centre

We did also once sleep in our van in the car park of the Rifleman’s Arms but I believe it now has a new Landlord so that might not be possible anymore http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/ ... lastonbury
But it might be worth asking if you’re in the area

Hope this helps Bob

Fantastic part of the country for Bongoing. Have a good time. We usually come to Glastonbury once a year when there is an event we like on (not the main Glastonbury festival)

Loadsa Bongo's about from A303 onwards it is like a Bongo Mecca down that way. With the obligatory slow down to gaze over at the henge of course. I think Simon Jones is down that way off the top of my head.

The one place in the country where I do not do the Bongo salutation otherwise you would have one hand off the wheel 1/2 the time !
