Awning/tent Light

Post by Bongolia » Thu Jul 07, 2016 10:40 am

Thought I would post this as it may be of use to peeps looking at awning lights.

Great light, it can be angled and comes with an S clip. It has three light settings ,bright, medium, and red?
I charged the unit and set it on medium output hung from a bird feeder in my garden and can say in that setting it gave out almost as much light as the mains powered one adjacent to it.
That was at 11.30 last night it is 10 .28 the following day and it is still on!
It also rained heavily last night and this does not seem to have entered the unit at all.
It charges from a USB socket and has a flashing indicator that glows steady when fully charged.
It is small too about the size of a small side plate.
It has replaceable Li-on batteries when the time comes.
Good box for storage as well.
Interestingly it has a red light setting so could be useful in drumming up a bit of extra income towards site fees. :) :)
Oh, and 18.00 quid

OK, so run time for the lamp; on medium setting 21 hours and recharge time approx 4.50 hours from a laptop USB.
Not bad.

Looks great but what a weird description!
the light is so tender and sexy.
The metal hooker can be fixed with 5 angles. So, no more headache of moving her around, just ask her face to you.

Chinese translation?

Looks a good little lamp and a ciggy to usb connector would sort the charging.

Update on the light.
Just used it for a week away used most evenings without a need to recharge until yesterday.
On the higher setting, towards the end of its charge, it gradually become dimmer rather than switching off suddenly giving warning as to the need to recharge however when it does need to recharge it switches to a flashing red setting!
Also when used in the red setting it doesn't attract insects.
Just thought I would throw that in. :)

What sort of light temperature does this put out? I had an older version and it was really harsh white light.

I like this one we've found since, much nicer warmer light for relaxing in the awning on an evening with a vodka and coke.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Just got back from a scorching break in Kent, bout time too.
All I could do to lift the beer glass to my mouth :D
I would say its warm white, however the inside of our awning is silver and that makes it look a bit cool looking.
Great light well pleased, not so happy with the awning, though that`s another story..... :(

Do you have some pampas grass in a pot outside your Bongo?
