fiamma f45,some help please,

Post by 2newbies » Fri Feb 07, 2014 6:15 pm

Hi everyone,Has anyone used the Ava awning brackets to fit the fiamma f45 awning....I've just recieved my awning and brackets and have noticed on the back of the awning there are three stickers showing the points where the awning should be mounted, having lifted the roof and got the tape measure out I don't think the brackets are going to match up with these points....does this really matter, I really would not want to part company with 19kg of awning on the motorway!...many thanks Paul

As the F45 is really intended to fit a longer vehicle, the standard spacing may not suit. If its anything like my F35 then the casing is the same along the whole length so you can fit the brackets anywhere you like and drill holes to suit bracket location.

Hi,Thanks for that ,feel reassured now,I have to admit to being a little surprised to how heavy it is....and that it is only secured onto the fiamma fitting kit by three M5 bolts......Thanks again.....Paul

I got our van with the awning fitted but it has been fine on motorway trips, no sign of moving etc. It uses 2 brackets, one at each end - I can send you some photos via email if you like? One problem is that the rear window does not open due to the bracket overlapping but I think a bit of careful repositioning will fix that
