I'm going to go with the tripod and leg idea - then we can move it as needed.

I was thinking of attaching it to the step in some way, but also thought it blocked the entrance too much.

Attaching it to your camping kitchen sounds like a god idea - we don't have such a thing as stay on aires and travel light so no awning etc.

I'm a believer in free-standing tableware so you can put it where you want.
Next to van if rainy or windy.
Next to beach to view the seals playing around.
Next to any friends that can put up with us.
On the other side of the site for the kids (which flew the nest yonks ago, before everyone gets dialling childline :lol: )
