Recover sliding door panel

Has anyone taken off or damaged the vinyl on the sliding door panel and replaced it with a different covering?

If you have, what material did you use, and where is a good online source for getting it?

Might be worth pricing a replacemant panel from Bongospares.

Job would be easy enough but may be tricky to get vinyl to match.
