If you are going away somewhere and don't mind meeting up with other Bongo owners or if you've been somewhere & want to tell us about it & stick up your photos, put the details here.

Gibraltar Farm, Silverdale (Woodlands Cider Festival) 21 - 23 October 2016

Post by Debs and David » Tue Sep 20, 2016 6:11 pm

As you all know Harry always organises the North West autumn bash at Silverdale. Over the last couple of years this has coincided with the Woodlands Hotel cider festival. As we all know, Harry is poorly at the moment, so as a group we decided to go ahead with the meet, as there are always lots of people interested, and I'm sure Harry wouldn't want us to miss out!

I have been on to the campsite and we are ok to go on 21st - 23rd October. There is no hardstanding available, but are ok on the field. At the moment they have 19 ehu's and unlimited non ehu spaces. It is £19 p/n for 2 people, awning is £3, non ehu is £14 p/n. Booking to be made direct to the site, at the moment they require a deposit which will be 1 nights cost, ie. £19 or £14.

At the moment the owner is on holiday, but I may be able to negotiate a group discount, I am going to ring again on Monday to check, this out. If we can hold fire booking at the moment, I am just trying to get approximate numbers to see about the discount.

If you can let me know as soon as possible if you are interested, and whether you require ehu or not this is only a month away now, so need to get our skates on.

Thanks peeps. :D

Bummer I was looking forward to this one but it looks as if I will have to give it a miss now. Don't fancy getting bogged down in one of the lower fields if it is a wet weekend. Hard lines Addy, if I had come you could have slept under my motorhome. Plenty of shelter from the rain under there despite it being a bit drafty. (PS: there might have been room for you inside if you did not snore so loud, I just don't fancy being kept awake all night).

That's a shame Tony, I will ask when I ring on Monday, if they have anywhere suitable for a motorhome. :P

Is there anyone else interested in booking into Gibraltar Farm. Not many of the usual suspects put their names down! I have tried ringing them but left I too late as I was out. So will try them again tomoz. I am only giving in approx. numbers and trying to negotiate a discount. Bookings and payment to be made on an individual basis with Gib. Farm direct. Update tomoz.

:D
