I'm just wondering how to remove the squishy steering wheel cover to get access to any wiring / horn elements to give it a clean

I'm worried about about affecting the airbag, any advice on how to remove this squishy cover OR should i leave it alone?

remove the battery terminals then sit with your foot on the footbrake for 6 hours till the lights exhaust the ecu battery, then its safe to remove the airbag. [-o< [-o< [-o< .

note in the drawing below there are 2 screws one either side.
