Inline fuel pump wiring to ignition 2.5TD (95/96)

Post by BenjiBongo » Thu Jul 20, 2017 7:30 pm

Hi folks.

Had the bongo down to a diesel specialist and he said the pump is only operating at around 0.2 bar. I have purchased K&N 81-0402 Performance Electric 4-7 PSI Fuel Pump to keep the happy bus going for the summer until I can get round to getting the new pump and labour costs covered. (Don't want to eat into the holiday budget just now).

Rather than have it switch operated I was looking to feed it directly from ignition so that it is on when ignition is on and off when it's off. Could anyone possibly help with some info regarding wiring this up safely? Any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like you need to pick up and use the Fuel Cut off valve feed, this is powered up when the fuel is to flow its a Black/White wire feeding the top of the fuel pump;
