Post by K8dtg » Wed Jul 12, 2017 10:08 pm

My bongo has got old steelies fitted with poor tyres it's due a MOT and after buying a set of alloys with road legal tyres on. I've been offered some Nissan Juke alloys and don't know ho
w to check if they fit. Any one tyred to fit this type or know how I can find out?

A quick search for Wheel specification gives this as the first result http://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/view ... 78#p274978

Or...

Jack up Bongy and remove wheel.

Take Nissan Juke wheel and try to fit on hub where you just took off first wheel.

Wheel goes on - it fits.

Wheel doesn't go on - it doesn't fit.

But that won't make sure its strong enough to bear the weight until it cracks apart whilst rolling!

Absolutely right, and the tyres must be up to spec.

Load rating at least 92 front and 96 rear.

Thank you for the info's, I did see that previous post but didn't know how to find the size of the juke alloys, I have now found out they PCI and offset are OK but the center hole is 1mm out, will this mean they wont fit at all or will they squeeze on?

Its actually supported on the centre hole! So either it won't fit if its less than 67.1mm or it will rattle around if its larger until you fit the required Spigot ring to take up the space and support the wheel....

the load rating is for the wheels. the load rating for the tyres is a separate issue.

If you are referring to this statement by Bob , the load index/rating is for the tyres not the Wheels.

I need to replace the tyres on the alloys and they will be ok. Will the Alloys be up to the job?

It should as I understand it be stamped on the wheels, possible on the rear side ?
See here for more info, plenty of such sites http://www.tsw.com/explore/wheel-load-rating.php
