Rear wiper not working ...

Post by bongo&4kids » Tue Jun 27, 2017 12:24 am

Hi guys,

My rear wiper has stopped working today.

It happened once before randomly, and I had a look at it from outside and it started working again after gently moving it a bit. So I though it had just gotten stuck weidly that one time.

But today it has happened again, but this time it is not coming back on - no response when I activate the switch.

The rear washer IS working ok, and the front wipers are fine too. I tried some WD40 on it, but that didn't help either.

Any ideas ???

THANKS!

usual reason is a break in wiring loom were it goes from door into the van

Try to check the fuse as well.

ive heard the same fuse covers the wipe and the washers, if this is so its unlikely to be the fuse, i think also that the front and rear systems are on the same fuse, so if the front one works - - - - .

I got round to investigating the rear wiper issue today, and sure enough, the wires had broken in the loom where they run from the door into the van.

Repaired it and now working again.

Thanks for your help!!!
