Deep socket for removing temperature sensor WLT

Post by jimmo62 » Fri Mar 11, 2016 9:09 am

Hi all

To remove the engine temp sensor on a 2.5 Diesel engine you need a really deep socket to fit over the back of the sensor and reach down to the hexagonal flats. It's hard to find a deep enough socket - but at the moment B&Q are selling one which fits with room to spare for £1.44 which is a bit of a bargain - you need the Mac Allister 1/2" x 19mm deep socket 5052931 342679

cheers

I found an old school A/F box spanner in my tool bag that fitted perfectly. (Think the set was an Xnas pressie in 1977)
