Please Help! My coil light is constantly flashing
Could the glowplug warning light flashing be related to a fault I have just discovered with the central locking not working? I have found a 10A fuse blown (No 1) in the fusebox in footwell, but replaced it and blown again could this be related in anyway.

Hi,blown No1 fuse will cause the glow plug light to flash, you need to find the source of the short, have you done any work to the vehicle lately .

Yes this fuse covers a whole load of circuits;
Engine Computer Unit (Hence flashing coil lamp)
AFT
Air Con.
Radio/Audio/Nav systems
Interior lighting
Power door locks
Sound Warning System
They are all circuits where the power is applied all the time even when the Ignition switch is OFF, and hence very easy to blow when working on the vehicle!

Hi Just thought I'd chip in. I also have the flashing coil light, central locking not working, no power to the stereo or interior lights. Looks like these are all linked.
I will check the 10A fuse tomorrow.
My first post on here. Must say the site is worthwhile.
Cheers

Update:
It was a blown fuse but not in either of the main fuse boxes. I think whoever fitted the immobilizer added some additional fuses in line. They were the larger style fuses and it was the yellow 15 amp one that blew. Anyway replaced it and it all works again (stereo, internal lights, wing mirrors etc) and the flashing light has gone away. Hurray.
I think the blow was due to a bad live connection on the main battery. I fixed that first in case it blew the fuse again. 2 days and still good.
