OK, defo not the alternator, will lift the drivers seat tomorrow and go fishing for the actual alternator. Doh! :wink:

A long shot i know - 7 years since last message! - but did you ever get to the bottom of this engine noise, fivepints?

My V6 is sounding very similar ...
V6 '96 MPV and loving it!
