Source for Replacement Motor - Folding Wing Mirror

Post by Bluespanner » Sun Apr 20, 2014 12:49 am

If anyone has a blown motor that works the folding wing mirror you can source them here for under a £10. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/280846677870? ... 1497.l2649 Its the same motor. I manged to read the markings with a magnifying glass. It was impossible to source (as far as I could figure) in the UK. However I bought one of these and it took about a week to arrive. The company were very helpful.

Pull the plastic thread off the old motor without damaging the thread and push it down onto the spindle of the new one. It has a some surface marking on the end of the spindle that will grip the plastic thread.
This is assuming that faulty wiring has already been ruled out for lack of folding. The old motor can be checked by testing it on 12v when removed to be sure.
