replacing Lithium Ion batteries in a laptop

Talk about non-Bongo stuff. BUT KEEP IT CLEAN....there are children watching. Smut, filth, and anything offensive will not be tolerated and removed immediately.

replacing Lithium Ion batteries in a laptop

Post by Bongolia » Fri Mar 31, 2017 1:31 pm

Having bought another duff "refurbished" battery from Ebouy for my ancient CF27 I thought I might look at replacing the batteries myself.
Question is once I have released the end tags how do I reconnect them to the new battery I have been told that soldering them is a no no as there is a risk of explosion is this correct and if it is how do I refix the tags?

Any suggestions as to good quality economic replacement cells too?

i have used Strikealite in Rugely in the past. i even had a battery pack refurbished while I watched at their premises.

they have the equipment to spot weld the cells together and also source ready joined up sets of cells.

I'm going back to NiCad days but they are still in business at http://www.strikalite.co.uk/

Strikealite - a confidence inspiring name in the age of exploding lithium batteries?

Choose Strikealite - we promise to fire up your device, or your charred remains back
