If you really want to improve your poor MPG to really worse, change
your driving style to hooligan
your car to MX8
I know 3 people from age 23 to 61 with one
from 12 to 20 MPG
depreciation vertical
next door needed to change from 0 miles commuting to 100mi per day for 3 month
just part ex the car !
no he was offered £350 for a minter
he may have a Civic now as well but a hooligan at heart
an RX8 is what a motor bike is for
ps MX8 also a good source of wheels for Bongos
A Bongo is not a modern eco car don't expect it to be
its a 2 ton brick driving like a 3 ton brick will help with MPG
Poor MPG...

every body knows I meant RX8
Re: Poor MPG...
MOT done. So brimmed it with 51ltrs and BG244. still running after 10 miles, promising! It could well be over a month before i fill up again so it will have plenty of time to work it's magic.BongoBongo123 wrote:Myself, I would run the BG44K/BG244 before the MOT and not during if I could control my mileage in that timescale (use of other vehicle or not etc.). I do not know what effects the actual product could have on emissions whilst being burnt.
Probably almost none at a guess but it might be best to be certain.

An alternative to the fuel system cleaner is a tank of Shell V-Power Nitro.
I have used it a couple of times now when diesel cars have got a bit "sticky" and not running as well as they should. Just run the fuel down as low as you can, put as little as 10-15 litres in and run that through the system - I have found it makes a really noticeable difference to how the engine runs.

Useful tip. I've passed it on to partner Trish as her Rav4 does not get lots of healthy exercise (it had to have its variable vane turbo decoked under warranty to stop it going into safety mode and the ems light coming on)scanner wrote:An alternative to the fuel system cleaner is a tank of Shell V-Power Nitro.

In that case it needs an "Italian Tune-up" as well whilst using the V-Power.mikeonb4c wrote:Useful tip.
